As one of the best places to enjoy the pretty view of Lijiang River, Xianggongshan Hill becomes more and more famous among tourists and photographers.
Xianggongshan Hill is located at the west bank of Lijiang River, in Xingping, Yangshuo, just between Reflections of Yellow Cloth and Nine Horses Fresco Hill along Li River. It is about 28 km from Yangshuo County and around 60 km from the downtown of Guilin. It becomes known because a Guilin photographer’s work which was shot at Xinggongshan won the bronze medal in the 10th International Film Festival.
When you climb up to the top of Xianggongshan Hill for about 20 minutes, overlook and find the hills standing orderly, clear Lijiang River meandering through the hills. The light, clouds, sunrise, pink clouds here attracts numerous photographers and photography enthusiasts. Therefore, it is one of the best place to enjoy the best view of Li River. It is even better and less costly than taking the Lijiang River Cruise.
How to Get to Xianggongshan Hill?
There are two lines to get to Xianggongshan Hill, the land and waterway. Currently, there isn’t shuttle bus available from Guilin or Yangshuo to Xianggongshan Hill directly. Therefore, tourists need to take bus from Guilin or Yangshuo to Putao or Baisha, from where tourists need to rent a car to Xianggongshan Hill directly. It is about 15 km from Putao to Xianggongshan Hill (Putao-Yangmeiling-Daping Village-Hebao Hill Village). It is around 18km from Baisha to Xianggongshan Hill (Baisha-Guban Village-Hebao Hill Village).
Of Course, tourists can also rent a car or drive a car from Yangshuo or Guilin to Xianggongshan Hill directly.
If tourists take waterway, they need to reach Xingping first, then rent a boat or bamboo raft from Xingping visa Reflections of Yellow Cloth, then reach the foot of Xinggongshan Hill. Then climb up to the top. It is not as good as the way on land.
