After being docked in 2012, the Wusongkou liner cruise restarted operation on May 12, providing an alternative to the regular 1-hour cruise on the Huangpu River in Shanghai. Different from the regular short cruises, the Wusongkou liner’s cruise takes 4 hours.
The Wusongkou liner starts from the Shiliupu Dock, when it arrives at Wusongkou, it turns around and comes back from there. During the trial period, the cruise is scheduled to be operated every weekend, with the capacity of 450 passengers. The ticket price is 280 RMB (US$44), and a variety of Shanghai snacks are served on the ship.
During the cruise journey, visitors can see many famous landmarks along both banks of Huangpu River, such as the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Jinmao Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center and Yangpu Bridge. In addition, the Yangshupu Water Plant, a British-style castle architecture opened in 1883, is another scenic spot included in the cruise. Moreover, the folk cultural performances with a Shanghai flavor can be also presented.
During the past six years, many people made inquiries over the Wusongkou liner’s suspension. The public has paid high attention to this sightseeing cruise. With the tour guide’s introducing the landmarks along the river, this four-hour cruise is regarded as an in-depth travel experience comparing to the short ones. With the target to make the iconic Huangpu River cruise a world-class scenic, the Wusongkou liner offers more comfort and premium service to attract the visitors all over the world.
