The Palace Museum opened an art center in the city of Fuzhou, capital city of southeast China’s Fujian Province on October 14th. According to the Palace Museum, apart from holding the regular culture and art seminars, the art center will also exhibit Palace Museum’s cultural products and publications.
“The Palace Museum has been exploring long-lasting methods to spread culture,” said Shan Jixiang, the director of the Palace Museum. “Art centers have a positive effect on the integration of culture and people’s daily life. The long history of Fuzhou and its cultural atmosphere fit the Palace Museum well.” Since 2015, the Palace Museum has set up six art centers in cities including Shenzhen and Zhuhai.
Palace Museum is the largest and richest museum in China. The art center will help spread the culture of the Palace Museum through culture and creative industry exhibition, traditional culture courses and conferences, offline audience experience and other ways. Situated in the eastern part of Fujian Province, Fuzhou City serves as the economy, politics, culture and transport center.
