Poyang Lake lies in the north of Jiangxi Province and the south bank of Yangtze River. Or you may go to Xingzi County or Hukou County in Jiujiang after Lushan Mountain Tour. The two counties are good choices to get a close look of the lake. .

Best Time to Visit

【How to get to Poyang Lake in Nanchang】: As the lake is quite large, you can go to one specific site to get a grand site of the Lakeview. Here are some recommended sites and ways to get there.
1. Lakeside at Nanjishan County: You may take Bus Route 159 at Lijiangzhuang(李家庄) in downtown Nanchang. Nanjishan Natural Reserve is also sited nearby. The bus leaves at 8:00 am and 2:00pm, and return at 10:20am and 4:00pm. It takes about 2 hours for one way trip.
2. Lakeside at Yufeng Electric Power Station: you may take Bus route 125 at Lijiangzhuang(李家庄) in downtown Nanchang and get off at Yufeng Electric Power Station. It runs from 6:00am to 1:10pm, and takes about 2 hours for one way trip.
