China’s Hainan Airlines launched a direct flight between Shenzhen, which locates in the southern portion of Guangdong Province and the Austrian capital’s Vienna on October 20th. This direct flight is the 15th international flight opened by Hainan Airlines in Shenzhen. It will have two round-trip flights per week.
The flight is operated by Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft of Hainan Airlines. The flight HU789 departs from Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport at 01:30 a.m. Beijing time. It arrives in Vienna at 06:50 a.m. local time. The return flight HU790 leaves from Vienna at 10:45 local time and arrives in Shenzhen at 05:00 a.m. (+1) Beijing time.
Hainan Airlines signed a letter of intent for cooperation with Vienna International Airport during the Boao Forum for Asia in April this year, outlining a plan to launch a non-stop air route between Shenzhen and Vienna. Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport is located on the east bank of the Pearl River and is 32 kilometers northwest of the city center. It is one of the three largest airport hubs serving the Pearl River Delta.
