Qiqihar authorities said on June 6th, that a direct air route between Qiqihar, the second largest city in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province and Vladivostok, a seaport and administration center in southeastern Russia will be launched next month.
The new air route will be operated by CRJ900 aircraft of China Express Airlines, and it is scheduled to begin service on July 10th. It will depart from Qiqihar at 15:35 Beijing time every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday with a flight time of 1.5 hours.
Qiqihar is an industrial base in the western part of Heilongjiang Province, which borders Russia. The new air route will play an important part in the building of the Belt and Road Initiative. It will also promote the export-oriented economic development of Qiqihar and strength the multi-field cooperation with Russia.
