The China Aid Myanmar in Sports Technical Cooperation Project in 2017 kicked off in Changsha on June 5, 2017. A total of 124 Myanmar athletes from eight national teams will have a 90-day training in Hunan.
Such cooperation project expected to secure Myanmar’s successful delivery of the 29th Southeast Asian Games. At the invitation of the Myanmar government, the Chinese government would provide assistance to Myanmar in sport performances, including organizing a 90-day training for 264 Burmese athletes, sending 9 Chinese coaches to Myanmar to help conduct intensive training for 20 days, and providing training support facilities in 13 sport events. The Chinese government will provide high-profile coaches, high-quality training equipment, accommodation, meals, and medical treatment for Myanmar athletes.
These athletes will receive trainings in Hunan for 8 sport events, including swimming, diving, gymnastics, weightlifting, and badminton.
