The Huge Cypress Nature Reserve(Chinese name: 巨柏园) in Nyingchi consists of huge cypress trees, among which, one is 46 meters tall and is about 2,000 to 2,500 years old by inference. It is respected as the sacred tree by local people.
Huge cypress trees cover an area of 10 hectares. The largest cypress is famed as 'the Best of Chinese Cypress' with the height of 52m and trunk diameter of 5.8m. It is over 2,600 years old now and is named as King of the World's Cypress. It is said that it is the life tree of Sinraomiqiho, the founder of the Bon Religion.
The King of Walnut Tree is near Mirui Village. It is 35-meter high, with a 4.5-meter high trunk and a diameter of 2.66m. Its crown covers 15 hectares and it is over 800 years old.
