According to China Railway Chengdu Group Co. Ltd., a new train route plan will be implemented from January 5th, 2019. After the adjustment, Chongqing and Chengdu will open the high speed trains to Xiamen, Wenzhou and other cities for the first time. The transportation capacity of the high speed train will increase of 9% in the future.
The train G2371/2 to be opened between Chengdudong Railway Station and Xiamenbei Railway Station will have several stops during the way, like Chongqingxi Station, Guiyangdong Station, Huaihuanan Station, Changshanan Station, Nanchangxi Station and Sanmingbei Station. The train connects Chengdu, Chongqing and Guiyang with Xiamen, making it more convenient for citizens to travel among the four cities.
China Railway Chengdu Group will further optimize the railway network in order to unify the deployment of China Railway. China Railway Chengdu Group will open 583.5 pairs of passenger trains in total in the future, with an increase of 50 pairs compared to the previous adjustment, including 443 pairs of high speed trains and 140.5 pairs of ordinary trains.
