Guizhou Ethnic Culture Exposition was launched in Kaili in southwest China’s Guizhou province, aiming to show the diversified minority culture and tourism resources to the world.
The event was kicked off with an evening gala featuring performance with high-tech light effects. Musicals were staged to explain the origins and customs of Guizhou's various ethnic groups.
Located in southwest China, Guizhou province is home to nearly 50 Chinese ethnic groups. Kaili, the host city for the opening ceremony, is known for its local Miao ethnic embroidery and silver ornaments.
