United Airlines is launching its daily nonstop flights from Los Angeles to Shanghai in October. The new flight service provides a link between the second-largest city in the U.S. and center of finance and trade in mainland China.
United Airlines has released its flight schedule recently. Flight 877 departs Los Angeles International Airport daily at 1:23 p.m. and arrives at Shanghai's Pudong International Airport at 5:45 p.m. the following day. On the return, flight 878 departs Shanghai at 8:10 p.m. and arrives in Los Angeles at 5:07 p.m. the same day.
Boeing 777 aircraft will be used in this new route with United First, United Business and United Economy sections. The airline is currently upgrading its international first- and business-class cabins with flat-bed seating. In addition, special products and services will be offered for customers such as movies and music available in both English and Mandarin, and Chinese style in-flight meals.
