The 14th China-Russia-Mongolia International Ice and Snow Festival kicked off in Manzhouli, Hulun Buir in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on December 25.
A total of 32 ice sculptures and 123 snow sculptures based on cartoon characters and architectural symbols of China, Russia and Mongolia are scattered around the theme park of the Ice and Snow Festival. The ice and snow festival will last till March 2013, China-Russia youth hockey competition and ice games will be held during the festival.
China-Russia-Mongolia International Ice and Snow Festival was first held in 1998. As a landmark event for China, Russia and Mongolia, this festival combines the natural resources and the cultural resources from the three countries, developing it into an influential international event.
