An article focusing on analysis of China Inbound Tourism has been jointly released by CCG (Center for China and Globalization) and Ctrip recently.
The article point out that most foreign tourists visit China for business or sightseeing, and those who visit China for the first time focus more on leisure and culture. Therefore, traditional Chinese medicine health cultivation has become a new highlight.
According to the data analysis, Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou are top 3 popular destinations amongst foreign tourists. Guiyang, Kunming and Chengdu have gone beyond many first-rate cities and become the most expected travel cities.
The report also provides information about inbound travelers’ nationalities. According to statistics, Japanese tourists take up to 20% of the whole foreign tourists; followed by American, Korean and Australian tourists accounted for 16%, 15% and 13% respectively. Above four countries are also the most important trading partners to China.
Miao Lv, the General Secretary as well as the Deputy Director of CCG says that the development of inbound tourism is an important part of the globalization. It enhances the depth of understanding between countries and strengthens international exchanges and cooperation.
