A sand sculpture park to open in Northeast China

A sand sculpture park - Golden Beach Park - will be open to the public in Northeast China's Hunchun City, at the end of June. Recently the 12 sand sculpture works in the park have been finished. The sand sculptures feature local and ethnic characteristics in an exotic style, and they are inspired by the distinctive popular images from various countries, such as Korea and Russia.

With the investment of 50 million RMB, the total construction area of the landscape is about 93,000 square meters. In the east part of the park, there is a playground and a photo ecological for children. On the north side, there is a sand-making garden, the Ladder of Love, and a wedding photography garden. The most surprising part is that a 20 kilometers’ race track for the off-road vehicles and ATVs is also included in the park.

Hunchun is a county-level city locates in the Jilin province. The city's name Hunchun comes from the Manchu language meaning borderland, since it borders North Korea and Russia. Hunchun has now become a popular tourism city and the influential economic zone. The sand sculpture park will attract more visitors and help increase Hunchun’s reputation as well.
