On July 29, the 2017 Hunan (Nanshan) Folk Song Festival and the Hunan-Guangxi Folk Custom Festival kicked off in Chengbu Miao Autonomous County, Shaoyang City. The festival gala consisted of three parts. Several singers performed at the gala, including six champion singers of the third national folk song competition, a Tibetan singer-songwriter, and a famous Chinese tenor. More than 10,000 spectators from all over the country and 300,000 Miao people celebrated the festival together.
